Join an international oil & gas company as a Directional Driller in Youngsville, LA. Position
Summary: Plan, execute and manage all phases of a directional drilling job to deliver quality service that meets client requirements and Company objectives. Key Functions:
Manages directional drilling tools at the well site
Drills deviated and straight hole sections, make corrections, and assists client in solving problems
Isolates location of field failures and assists in analysis of tool failure
Informs client of unusual conditions during job; takes action to ensure service is maintained; documents and reports field failures and recommends action to prevent recurrence
Prepares documentation for Company daily reports
Designs well plans prior to job, re-plans wells, and modifies well plans as needed; runs anti-collision at rig site
Ensures assigned junior personnel are trained on all aspects of Directional Drilling Specialist job responsibilities
Selects and prepares drilling equipment and visits clients before and after each job
Prepares end-of-well report and other job/post-job summaries and reports
Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures
Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving)
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Technology or technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Ten years' experience, including at least five years as a Directional Driller
Supervisory experience over maintenance of directional drilling equipment
Completion of learn.it phase 3D curriculum and associated control cards and corresponding experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
